Principal's Corner
We often hear about the importance of parent and school partnership and its many benefits for student learning and wellbeing. At Holy Spirit, we are committed to deepening this partnership each year, despite challenges such as COVID, which in recent years has restricted our ability to come together.
Parent engagement is more than volunteering and helping out at the school. While we value any contribution you can make to school life, we understand that work and family commitments can make it difficult to be involved in an ongoing way. We invite you to engage in your child’s learning, faith formation and wellbeing by supporting and/or attending:
● Mass and prayer celebrations with the parish and school community
● Our sacramental programs
● School assemblies
● Open classrooms
● ...and offering any other practical assistance either on-site or from home
Schools are constantly evolving and transforming. Our methods of teaching and learning are also changing. This year we will be offering sessions at school and via video recordings or Zoom that explore the curriculum as well as practical ideas for assisting your child with their learning. More information will be provided after our first P&F meeting, which will be held this coming Monday.
