Have you noticed the creativity and resourcefulness in others over the past five weeks? Each week I am amazed and impressed with the ingenuity of others. The saying: 'Out of adversity comes opportunity' is evident and all around us. The creativity can be inspirational for us.

Many organisations are generously offering free events and experiences.  Our local Umbrella Studio, is promoting the arts by providing an art competition for 3 to 11 year olds; prizes will be awarded. This week, I received an email about a free, online, interactive, birthday party.  This may be only for dance lovers! 

At the beginning of this pandemic crisis we saw selfishness in supermarkets, yet the goodness and generosity of others has far surpassed these thoughtless acts. I encourage you to recognise and applaud this in your family, neighbours and our wider community.

Throughout this year, we will promote the businesses who have provided the prizes for our Fete Dodgers. At some future stage, I hope you will have the opportunity to support one or more of these businesses.  Thank you to all who have managed to buy and return dodgers - the draw will still go ahead on Friday 29 May! Don't forget the major prize is $1000, courtesy of Dillon Architects. 

I know our parents, students and staff members are supporting each other as we traverse the joys and challenges of remote learning. We are also mindful of the essential workers who keep our community and country afloat.

May we all continue forward in a spirit of generosity - that is the Strength in the Spirit!
