As we see ongoing change in routines and practices of what we generally take for granted in our community, it is reassuring to see people working together and learning from each other. 

Dr. Michael Carr-Gregg, one of Australia's highest profile psychologists who frequently appears in the media has provided a video with some sound advice for parents, caregivers and teachers through a video.

Currently we have a number of students where parents have decided to self-isolate. Teachers are working to create websites and activities to support student learning.

As families may be spending more time at home together a pack of cards is an inexpensive resource which can provide more than traditional card games. 

Younger children can use the cards to match pairs or add and subtract simple numbers e.g. 5 + 2 or 5-2. As children’s Maths skills progress, the cards can be used for multiplication e.g. 5 x 2.  Possibilities are only limited by our imagination!

Should there be any information we need to distribute to parents we will use Compass, Facebook and email. Please make sure the school office and your child’s teacher have your current contact details.
