Mini Vinnies Sleepout - 18th October 2019
Vinnies School Sleepouts provide a unique insight into the complex issues that people experiencing homelessness face; issues often overlooked and misunderstood by the wider community.
The sleepout provides students with an opportunity to experience what it is like to be homeless by ‘sleeping rough’ for one night. Their participation raises awareness of the realities facing people experiencing homelessness.
On Friday 18th October, the Year 6 Mini Vinnies students will participate in our annual Mini Vinnies SleepOut. It will be an evening of challenges, reflection and raising awareness.
Thank you to the parents/carers who will support their children in this important event and for the donation which will be given to St Vincent De Paul at our next whole school assembly.
If anyone else in our school community would like to support our Mini Vinnies in the Sleepout, you might like to donate one of the following: linen, towels, or pillows to the school office or directly to the St. Vincent De Paul office in West End.
