Welcome back to Term 4! I hope you had some time over the past two weeks to take a break from the routine of school and work.
If you have visited our school this week, you will notice our Year 5 and Year 6 classrooms are well underway and on target for the commencement of the 2020 school year.
In our ‘Prep Precinct’, shade has been installed over the playground and work was commenced on the prep climbing wall.
Thank you to our ground staff, Greg and Matt and our Assistant Principal, Paul Martin for attending to maintenance issues which continue to improve our grounds for the students.
Given the impact of the flood, our ‘Fifty Years Committee’ looked for low cost activities to celebrate this significant event such as our amazing Holy Spirit Under the Stars night of entertainment.
It was decided that rather than hold our annual 10 000 Steps fundraiser, we would celebrate Term 4 with a Colour Me Crazy event this Sunday.
The celebration will commence with 8.30 am mass, with the Colour Me Crazy run to follow. The run will be held on the back oval in two sessions. Session 1 is at 10 am and Session 2 at 10.30 am on our oval. This is a family event and all students must be accompanied by an adult.
It was wonderful to see enthusiastic children ready to start Term 4. I hope to see you on Sunday.
