Plenary Council 2020
The National Centre for Pastoral Research has just published Listen to what the Spirit is saying, the final report of the Listening and Dialogue stage of the Plenary Council. The report captures the voices of the more than 222,000 people who shared their submissions, questions and stories of faith during the 10-month process. National Vocations Awareness Week
Today is the feast of St John Vianney, the patron of parish clergy. Pray for your priests today in thanksgiving for their ministry and presence in your community. Next Thursday is the feast of St Mary of the Cross McKillop, our first Australia saint. Pray for the religious who do so much in pastoral care, education, health care and many other ministries. Pray also that these saints may inspire many vocations to consecrated life and priesthood, especially from your community.
Bishop’s Appeal for Diocesan Ministries
Thank you to all who contributed to the Annual Bishop’s Appeal for Diocesan Ministries. Without your support, vital ministries working in the Diocese would not be possible. Your donations assist the Diocese funds vital chaplaincy services to prisons and hospitals, social justice and multicultural ministry, the work of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ministry, ecumenical and Interfaith activities, Youth Ministry initiatives, Faith education and formation for Adults and liturgical training and vocations awareness.
You can still contribute by collecting an envelope from the Parish.
Charismatic Healing Mass
Catholic Charismatic Renewal, (Yona Shalom) invites you to their Healing Mass on Monday 19th August, 6pm at St Mary’s Church West End with Fr Steve Fletcher mgl.
