APRE News

How strong are we?  In Sunday’s Gospel, Luke 12:49-53, Jesus told his disciples that there would be division among people including families.  It takes courage to make choices that follow God’s commandments and live the Gospel values in all we say and do.  It takes courage for our students to go against peer pressure and make good choices in their behaviour.  To see others doing the wrong thing at times and having the initiative and sense of responsibility to make the right choice is something we both promote and support and are happy to see in many of our students.

This week we value creativity.  Being creative means taking risks and ignoring doubts, sometimes facing fears.  It can also mean doing something different to make a change in the ‘normal’ routine.  As we celebrate Book Week this week, what better way for children to show their creativity then to choose their favourite character and shape themselves into that character, especially one with super powers?  This week we pray for our students to be respectful of others and support each other as they show their creativity.

Items needed by Vinnies

Do you have old towels in your linen cupboard taking up much needed space? Vinnies is in need of good disused towels. There is a massive demand for businesses for towelling material. Please drop your donations to a Vinnies store.

God bless.
