What was in the mystery of the Holy Spirit Time Capsule? On Saturday afternoon, past student Rachael Briton and Mrs Fox, 6C teacher, surrounded by interested students opened the time capsule, a millennium project located near our flagpoles.

While the contents were a little moist, there was an array of items from the past. Do you remember the logo for the Sydney Olympic Games? The contents included a newspaper complete with the Olympic Games logo, a letter from Sr. Stephen (Principal 1974-1981), identity cards of students, three very small uniforms, a newsletter and some photos (unfortunately unsalvageable). 

Our afternoon roll call included students and parents from the class of 1969. It was impressive to have Geoffrey Chaillon, Wayne Thompson and Donna Nugent (nee Ryan) attend the afternoon. Wayne has promised us a water tight container for the next time capsule!

Congratulations to our Holy Spirit Stars, who performed songs and dances from across the decades, didn't they shine on Saturday evening? We were also fortunate to have past students perform with Mr. Steven Frewn-Lloyd, our strings teacher. 

Thank you to our music teachers, Mrs Sue Laing and Mrs Crimeen for preparing the students, to the instrumental teachers who not only prepared the students but participated in the band, Board Chair and parent, Fred Nucifora who was the MC, staff members who assisted on the night, our students who delighted the audience with their melodious voices and dance moves, and finally the parents who supported this event.

Events such as these highlight the Strength in the Spirit!
