Sporting Wheelies:
Sporting Wheelies visited our school this week for grade 2, 5 & 6 PE lessons. Their visits are always well liked by students and students get to participate in a wheelchair sport or school experience where students' views, morals and physical capabilities are challenged. Students are also encouraged to build empathy in a positive way by making them aware of accessibility issues. These opportunities enhance inclusion and social integration for all students.
Northern Athletics Trials:
Congratulations to the students who represented Holy Spirit at the recent NQ trials. What an amazing accomplishment. Mason M finished 7th in Long Jump, Isaac D finished 4th in Shot Put and Thea G finished 4th in the 100m sprint. Thea has also been selected in the Northern team who will represent our region at the State Championships here in Townsville in the second week of next term.

Save the Date:
The rescheduled date for the Interschool Swimming Carnival is Tuesday, 21st October and it will be held at the Long Tan Pool. Students who were originally selected to represent Holy Spirit will remain nominated for the event. We encourage all team members to begin preparing and training in the lead-up to the carnival. We look forward to a great day of competition and school spirit.
