Principal's Corner
Welcome back to another exciting, fun filled term of learning at Holy Spirit Catholic School. For weeks 1 and 2 of the term, Nicole Lennox is on leave and Ms Begona Bengoa is filling in at the APA position. We welcome back Begona for Term 4 after a period of leave.
In 2026, Holy Spirit will be conducting its Year of Renewal as set out by the Townsville Catholic Education office. We have already asked you to complete the ECSI surveys back in term 1 of this year and we are just awaiting the arrival of these results. Throughout this term, I will provide some further information into the process and the role of our families in providing feedback on what we have achieved in the last 5 years and goals for the next 5 years. Some of this will be through communications like the newsletter and some face to face opportunities like the P&F and other meetings. I encourage you to get involved so we can continue to strive for excellence at Holy Spirit.
Last week, we recognised our Guidance Counsellor, Adam Bice, on Guidance Counsellor Appreciation Day. Adam is a past student of our school and has returned after stints in teaching and now with us as our Guidance Counsellor. He continues to support our students and families and we are grateful for the work he does.
Thank you for your continued support of our school community and I look forward to continuing the collaboration with families and staff. As a parent told me this week, there are only 37 school days left for our Year 6 cohort; and they will be high schoolers.
Happy Days
Paul Martin
