Principal's Corner

This week, we continue to strive to meet the school's goals for 2025 as we engage with our families through Parent Interviews. This is another opportunity to discuss the successes and look to establish goals for the remainder of the year for our young people. I would encourage you to bring your child to the interview so they have a role to play as it is their education you are discussing. As we trial a new system for these interviews, we ask for your patience as we tend to the finer points to get the best reporting system for parents and staff. Your feedback, positive and constructive, is most welcome and I will be around so you can share this.

This Sunday, we see those father figures in our students' lives be recognised for the work they do. I wanted to thank the Dad's in our school for your contribution. It can be in the tuckshop, camps, Board members, P&F, drop off and pick ups and even attending our playgroup. Your children love the fact you have an interest in their education and continue to display your love for your children. May this Sunday be a day of celebration with family.

For Fathers' Day this coming Sunday we pray for all fathers and those in a guiding and mentoring role.

God our Father, we give thanks and praise
for fathers, young and old.
We pray for young fathers
who are newly embracing their role.
May they find courage and perseverance to balance
work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice.
We pray for fathers around the world
whose children are lost and suffering.
May they know God of compassion
walks with them in their sorrow.
We pray for men who are not fathers
but who still mentor and guide us with fatherly advice.
We remember fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers
who are no longer with us,
but who continue to live in our memory,
having nourished us with their love.

Amen.
