Principal's Corner
This week, we continue to see our families engaged in the life of the school through our camp volunteers for Year 6 as they spend some time at Lake Tinaroo. Our parent volunteers take time away from family and work, possibly using some annual leave to assist with the supervision and safety for our 70 + students on camp this week. We are never short of volunteers for such events, partly due to the excitement and fun associated with our Holy Spirit camps but also because our parents get to see a different side to our students, their own child and our staff. In a society where we say we are 'time poor', I wanted to pass on my thanks to all parent volunteers across our school. Whether it be camps, or tuckshop, classroom helpers, carnival helper, excursion supervisor, committees, school board....thank you!
Just a reminder that we will be announcing our Bunnings voucher winner from those who complete the survey for parent engagement at Holy Spirit for 2025 very soon.
Our Year 5 cohort have been discussing leadership qualities from their camp experience in Term 3 and what that looks like at our school. Mrs Lennox has discussed the qualities of a leader and the selection criteria for School captain and House Captain for 2025. from there, students could nominate themselves or another based on the selection criteria. Thank you to the school board for their assistance in fine tuning this process with us, your input was valuable.
Wishing all our families a safe couple of weeks as we move towards the Christmas break on December 6.
Happy Days,
Paul Martin
