Principal's Corner
Happy Mothers Day to all our Mums and 'mother figures' in our school community. I trust you were made to feel special on your special day. I wanted to say thank you to our parent volunteers who assisted last Wednesday at our Mothers day stall. It was great to have our volunteers assist our little people buy that special gift and work out how to spend their money.
Last week's Gospel from John teaches us that Jesus showed himself to the disciples and they were encouraged to go out into the world and proclaim the Good News. We too, are asked as followers of Christ, to be living examples of the living Christ. Our words and actions should inspire others to be kind and loving people. In our classrooms, we continue to promote this through Our Spirit Way. Talking with Year 5 this week, I presented the idea that we behave in ways to make our parents proud. As adults in our Catholic school, we continue to show our young people that Jesus inspires us with ways to be his presence in the world. Keep up the great work Mums, Dads, grandparents and all involved in raising our students.
Our feast day is soon upon us. We would love to see our school community come together for our Liturgy, then join us for the Spirit Steps and family picnic.
Lock in May 24 to celebrate Holy Spirit Catholic School.
