What a term that we have had. Hard to believe it is over 2 months since Cyclone Kirrily and we have bounced back strongly. I want to thank all the families for their continued support of our school community. We have begun Prep interviews for 2025 and the feedback we are getting is that parents are spreading the word about our school in a positive light and this speaks volumes. No amount of advertising can match the high praise from our current families. Holy Spirit Catholic School was founded on generosity, it continues to be part of our Mission Statement and our school community excels on it. Thank you! If you know of families looking for Prep next year, the numbers are increasing and offers are made in early May.

A reminder that Townsville Catholic Education has approved an extra Pupil Free Day on April 26, the day after ANZAC Day. This makes for a long week-end for families but our staff continue to upskill on the new Version 9 Australian Curriculum. Mark the date in your calendar.

Hopefully, families are able to get to the classrooms this Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning to our open classrooms. This is a chance for students to proudly showcase the work they have been doing and for parents to see what learning has been taking place. Teachers will have classrooms open from the end of the school day to 4.15pm and again on Thursday morning from 8am. Please allow a couple of minutes for staff to grab a drink at the end of the school day. Looking forward to engaging our parents into the classrooms to build that relationship between staff, student and parent.
