Welcome to Term 1, 2024
It's great to see our school community come together as we kick off the new school year. The mix of emotions on the first day, from excitement to nervousness, is not just limited to the students – parents feel it too! As we all adjust to the routines and expectations of the new term, it's important to be patient with ourselves and each other and allow time to embrace the fresh experiences.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting events planned, including speeches for House Captains from our nominated Year 6 students. These students will present their speech to the Year 4-6 students in their House group on Tuesday. Weather permitting we will finalise our Student Leadership team by the end of Week 2.
I'd like to extend a big thank you to all our parents for their understanding during drop-off and pick-up times, especially with the added challenge of ongoing roadworks. For new families, there are several available parking spaces on Albert Street, and we have teacher supervision at the back gate for students exiting in that area. It's important to note that the Admin carpark is reserved for staff and visitors, while the designated Disabled park must remain accessible for those who require it daily.
I'm eager to visit the classrooms and witness how our students are settling into the new term. I also look forward to engaging with families as we progress through the coming weeks.
