e-Safety

e-Safetyparents

The digital age we live in calls us to be more vigilant than ever, particularly as children use technology platforms from a young age.  Therefore, the responsibility of adults, both at home and at school, is to ensure that children develop understanding and awareness of the importance of being safe online.

To support learning and development in this area, the e-Safety Commission provides comprehensive knowledge and interactive resources that are readily accessible to everyone, particularly children and their families.

A couple of examples to support children’s safety online are listed below, however for information, please visit e-Safetyparents.

Family tech agreements

A family tech agreement is a set of rules about how devices, like smartphones, tablets, computers, TVs and gaming consoles are used in your home.

Start the chat with your family and develop an agreement that will suit the age and needs of your children.

The eSafety Guide

Want to know about the latest apps, games and social media that your child is using?

The eSafety Guide includes important advice about their safety features, including how to use the settings to report online abuse and protect personal information.
