Ruth Young Hockey Gala Day
What a day at THA Friday 10th March! Five teams made up of HSCS Yr 4 and 5 students, attended the Ruth Young Hockey Gala Day. 10 schools from around Townsville competed in either the Rookies competition or the Hotshots hockey competition.
There were skills and drills, 9 hockey games for each team, play time under the sprinkler, dancing, zooper doopers, and a bit more hockey. The children met two Queensland representatives and had photos with them.
The HS students were extremely well behaved, showed good sportsmanship and tried their hardest all day throughout the games. The teachers were very proud of them. I think a lot of our students can't wait for next year's gala day already.
