In the last few weeks, the Leadership Team has been conducting Prep interviews to families interested in coming to Holy Spirit. As we take the families on a tour of our beautiful school, we are consistently greeted with beautiful manners from our students. Greetings and a simple 'How has your day been?' are common and our prospective families comment on our students.

"Courtesy is contagious' is real. Our students have responded to the role models in their lives with politeness and courtesy.

We know children are natural mimics of the adults in their lives. We live in a society that values courtesy and politeness less and less - you only have to view the news, view Facebook/twitter etc. Just take for example, the spectator who abused a soccer referee on the week-end.

As a Christian community, it is vital that we maintain these age old values. As the first educators of children, parents and teachers need to present themselves as strong role models to emphasise the importance of manners, respect and politeness.

Great to see this happening in our school community amongst our students. Thank you parents and grandparents.

May 26 will see our school community celebrate our feast day - Holy Spirit Day. Our day will begin with our Liturgy in the Hall followed by the Spirit Steps walk along the river. At the conclusion of this walk, we will continue the celebrations with our family picnic. The afternoon activities will conclude with year level and buddy activities. If you are able to assist with the Spirit Steps as a volunteer, can you please contact the office and thank you in advance.
