Holy Spirit recently competed in the ‘B’ Schools Interschool Athletics Carnival at the Townsville Sports Reserve. Congratulations to all of our students who competed. We are extremely proud of the entire team for their outstanding efforts and for demonstrating perseverance. Holy Spirit performed strongly and finished 4th Overall.

Some individual and team exceptional performances are featured below:

• Jakob F and Ruby L were outstanding leaders, with Jakob winning his 100m, 200m and 2nd in High Jump and Ruby winning her 100m and 2nd in the 200m.
• Jemma C was amazing, winning her 100m, 200m and 800m with a time of 2.46min
• 8y.o. Boys 4x 80m (55.14) Zac N, Mason G, Landyn R and Rocco C were brilliant coming first and provide an exciting future for our Athletics Team.
• 12y.o. Girls 4x 100m were lightning, narrowly missed the record with a time of 1.00.54, featuring Ruby L, Jemma C, Mia T and Esther D.

Congratulations to the following students for being selected to trial for the North Queensland Team: Jaxon L - 3D (Shot Put), Braith P – 5C (Shot Put), Shay-Lee W – 5C (Shot Put), Max I – 4B (100m), Aden G – 5B (100m), Noah B – 4D (800m), Jemma C – 6A (800m), Ruby L – 6D (100m & 200m) and Jakob F – 6B (200m and High Jump).
