Fundraisers 2022

This year we will be holding two fundraising events which we are seeking sponsorship for prizes.  Spirit Steps will take place as part of our Feast Day celebrations this term and a Bumper Christmas Cent Sale will take place alongside our annual Christmas Carols evening.  A letter was sent home with your child last week and I’d like to thank the many families and business owners for their contributions.  If you can assist, please let us know.  A copy of the note can be accessed HERE.

Spirit Steps

Fundraising cards will be sent home on Friday and can be returned every Friday in the lead up to the event on 17 June.  Children have the opportunity to receive incentive prizes once they have raised $10, $20, $50, $100 and $200+.  Further information will accompany the fundraising card being sent home this coming Friday.

Parents and Friends Association

On Tuesday evening we held our P&F meeting for May.  Our discussions were focused on Spirit Steps and the upcoming Resilience Project Parent Webinar.  The webinar is on tonight from 6.30pm – 8pm.  A link was sent through Compass for parents to access this session.

To accommodate more participation at our monthly P&F meetings, we are going to trial alternating afternoon and evening meeting times.  Parents are able to ZOOM in for these meetings as well.  Our next meeting will be held as follows:

When:                  Monday 13 June

Time:                    2pm – 2.45pm

Where:                 Staffroom

Unwell Children

As we head into the cooler months, we are all susceptible to flu and the common cold.  With COVID also still in our midst, it is really important that we continue to encourage children to practise good hygiene techniques.  It is also paramount that if your child is unwell that they stay at home.  Children displaying any symptoms of flu or COVID will need to be collected from school.  Children who are unwell are unable to learn.  They need to rest and recover and the best place for this is at home.  These measures also ensure that symptoms are not passed onto classmates and staff.  Thank you for your co-operation with this important matter.

Staffing Update

Tomorrow we farewell Mrs Alex Marty, 4C teacher, who will be going on Maternity leave to await the arrival of her first child.  We wish Alex and her husband, Jordan, every blessing as they prepare to start their little family.  Welcome to Mrs Sonia Foster who will teach 4C for the remainder of the year.

Best wishes

Kath
