APRE News

We all have to make choices in our daily lives. Our students make choices each day about behaviour, their learning, their friendships, the list is endless. In Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus tells us he will return at the end of time, so we must always keep ourselves ready, by trying to live each day in the way Jesus showed us, with
goodness and love towards our neighbour. For our students, these are the people around us. To think before we act or speak, ensures we make good choices most of the time.

This week at Holy Spirit Catholic School, we value respect. Having respect for someone means you think good things about who a person is or how he or she acts. We reinforce that showing respect to someone is to act in a way that shows they care about others feelings and well-being. This week, we pray that our students show respect for others by thinking and acting in a way that shows others they care about their feelings and their well-being, to see a need and do something about it.

National Recycling Week, established by Planet Ark in 1996, is held every year during the second week of November (8th to 14th of November 2021).  The aim was to bring a national focus to recycling and the broader themes of minimising waste and managing material resources.  This year they're celebrating their 25th anniversary! The focus of 2021 is:  Celebrate National Recycling Week YOUR way!

God bless.
