Welcome to Term 4! During the holidays, our Executive Director of Catholic Education announced that Ms Kath Tarttelin will be the new principal for our school.

This news has been well received by staff members and those families who know Kath or know of her reputation. Kath is a past staff member who brings a wealth of experience having held the role of principal in three of our schools across the diocese. 

Throughout this term I will be meeting with Kath to assist with a smooth transition. 

Thank you for adhering to the Covid-19 regulations by wearing a face mask. Signs with the QR code for check in have been placed at the gate entries. We know that tracing is far more effective when we all follow the process so please continue to use the QR code.

At the end of this month we will farewell Mrs Millie Gesch. Mille worked in the tuck-shop when her children attended Holy Spirit. She has been employed as a school officer since 1977 and has worked with many of our younger students.

Last Monday was the feast day of St Francis, the namesake of our current Pope. The work of  St Francis, a man of poverty, a man of peace and a man who loved and protected creation is a model for Pope Francis. Throughout this month of October students will complete activities which focus on our role to support the poor and care for creation. Please let your child’s teacher know if you are available to assist with the Mini Fete on the afternoon of Friday, 15 October.
