Congratulations to all who assisted with our School Athletics Carnival at the Sports Reserve. It is two years since our students had this experience – a first for Prep and Year One students!

Our PE teacher, Mr. Brenton Place and the Sports Committee spent many hours preparing for this event. From the transport of students and equipment to the organisation of the timetable and coordination of events, many hours of preparation went into this occasion.  I hope the late edition of this week’s newsletter will provide you with some of the highlights of the day.

If you have driven along Hatchett Street in the past week, you may have noticed that apart from the landscaping, the Administration Block is almost complete. Over the past six years, we have been in a continuous planning and building phase so we are looking forward to the completion of this building project and the removal of temporary fencing!

Since 2018, twenty new learning spaces, the Administration Block and staffroom have been constructed. Thank you for your patience and flexibility throughout this time. Thank you also to the Holy Spirit School Board, parents and staff members who lobbied for funds, discussed plans and patiently packed and unpacked as we relocated on several occasions.

Thank you for your assistance throughout this term. Events such as the Fete, Fun Run, Athletics Carnival and NAIDOC celebration would not be possible without your support. That is the Strength in the Spirit!

I hope you have some time to recharge and relax over the next two weeks or at least a break from the routines of school lunches, uniforms and homework.
