Practicing empathy and kindness with National Volunteer Week just passing, what better time to practice empathy and kindness? Checkout this amazing video that tracks an act of kindness throughout a single day.
After watching the video, pick three people from your contact list on your phone and send them a message or call them. Ask them how they are going and thank them for something they have done for you. If you have some time, complete a random act of kindness for someone. Here are some ideas to get you started:

- Offer someone else a cup of coffee/tea
- Let someone in, in a traffic jam
- Compliment someone genuinely
- Hold the door open for someone
- Smile at someone you don’t know
- Thank someone for helping you in the last few weeks
We are all role models to our children and what better way, then to show them how to be kind.
Adopt a Cowboy Visit
Last Monday saw our Adopt A Cowboy, Valentine Holmes visit our school and be swarmed by students as he participated in various activities. Valentine began his visit refereeing the Yr 6 touch games on the back oval, then went on to visit 3C to display his skipping prowess. Is there anything he can't do? We are grateful for the time he spends with us and for the Cowboys for generously providing these opportunities.
