The latest DCO newsletter is out and it sure has some exciting news and plenty of events advertised for the coming weeks.....
We’re changing our name!
On 1 July we will change our name from Defence Community Organisation (DCO) to Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS).
Our new name reflects our vision, what we do and who we do it for. While we are changing our name, there will be no changes to any of the services or programs offered to ADF members and their families.

Friday May 7th – Tropical Fridays – Barefoot Bowls & BBQ
You don’t have to be a Crackerjack to join us for our Tropical Fridays’ Barefoot Bowls event!
This is a child-free, social and fun event so bring yourself, yourself and partner or a friend and join us for a night of FREE barefoot bowling and a bbq.
Full facilities are also available at the Bowls Club.

Our Walk & Talk social fitness group is back again! Meeting at the Rockpool end of the Strand (on the footpath in front of the Fish Inn), we'll walk the main length of the Strand and back, so don't forget your favourite walking shoes!

Thursday May 13th - 10FSB Spouse Morning Tea
10FSB will be hosting a spouse morning tea on Thursday May 13th, at Geckos Family Centre, Lavarack Barracks from 10.00 - 11.30am.
This is a great chance to connect with other 10FSB partners/spouses while you enjoy morning tea and a cuppa, and representatives from DCO, Defence Health, Defence Holidays NQ, and Smart Salary will also be in attendance for any support or advice.
