Last Friday, our students participated in the ANZAC Day Liturgy. The liturgy was capably led by this term’s School Captains, Callum Lindeberg and Emily Whitby. Other senior students also assisted throughout the liturgy and the respect from all students from Prep to Year 6 throughout the Ode and Last Post impressed all adults present.

On ANZAC Day, our students from Year Four to Year Six participated in the Dawn Service and the ANZAC Day March. It is difficult to find adequate words to describe how impressive the students were in the way they conducted themselves and demonstrated such a level of respect for this occasion. Our students can certainly take a bow!

Thank you to the parents who supported their child’s participation. It is not easy to find a park near The Strand at any time, let alone when there are thousands of participants and spectators. 

We are just sixteen sleeps away from the fete! Your response to dodgers, and Coloured Clothes days has been outstanding.  I hope you had a chance to declutter and find some items for the Trash ‘n Treasure Stall, always one of our most popular stalls. 

The two critical areas where we need your help are workers on the night and items for the Cake Stall. Working on a stall is a great way to meet other members of our school community; grandparents, aunts and uncles are all welcome to assist on the night.

Our students are excited, our convenors are organised and I hope you are looking forward to this event.

I hope this long weekend will be a chance for you to enjoy our wonderful weather!
