Next week Parent Teacher Conferences commence. These meetings are a great opportunity for parents to meet the class teacher, share information about learning styles, strengths and the areas requiring future development.

With just five weeks into the school year, the Parent Teacher Conference is not a progress report, it is an opportunity to form a partnership for the remainder of the year. 

Discussion centred around support for the child’s learning is an important step towards working together. I encourage you to meet with your child’s teacher. 

Appointments can be made through Compass. If you do not have a Compass login please contact the school office.

Some parents have experienced considerable difficulty finding Out of Hours School Care for their children. I have discussed this issue with a representative from Mary MacKillop Childcare NQ, the organisation in charge of the Holy Spirit OSHC and made a request for licensing to be changed to allow for increased attendance.

If you have made alternative arrangements for your child and you are still interested in a place in the Holy Spirit OSHC, please email the school crnbrk@tsv.catholic.edu.au with HS OSHC in the subject line.  Further information required includes the number of children, the session e.g. before or after school and the days you wish to access the facility.
