This week, Laurence Hosking from the Townsville Catholic Education Office  recognised a number of staff members with service awards.

Our staff members were recognised for service from ten years to an extraordinary 30 years! Congratulations to the following staff members, we thank them for their contribution to education and in particular, our school community.

10 Years: Zita Whiteside, Jo-Anne Steel, Marcella White

15 Years: Wendy Dixon, 

20 Years: Evon Downie, Kim Williamson

25 years: Donna Muguira

30 Years: Kirsten Logan, Begona Bengoa

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, current research indicates the average person will have twelve to fifteen jobs in their working lifetime, so these staff members have provided stability for our students, given the majority have spent a high percentage of years serving at Holy Spirit.

Tonight we farewell our Year 6 students, we wish them well for the next stage of their journey, we also thank their parents who have worked and supported our school. Both students and parents have contributed to and enriched the life of our school. On behalf of the staff of Holy Spirit, thank you for your contribution throughout the year.
