From the Desk of the APA
Welcome back to Term 4 and what a busy term it will be.
Book Week
Each year, schools and libraries across Australia spend a week celebrating books. Teachers and librarians highlight the importance of reading. We are celebrating Book Week from 19 - 23 October (Week 3). The theme this year is ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’. From the Curious Creatures inhabiting the world of the Gruffalo or Dr Seuss to the Wild Minds found in Harry Potter or Alice in Wonderland there is a character for everyone to enjoy dressing up as. There will be no assembly this year, however, students will be able to come dressed in their favourite book character one day during Week 3 day. Day TBC
Before and After School Supervision
At times we do have visitors in our school grounds and student safety is our primary concern. Just a reminder to parents that supervision of students commences at 8am each morning. At the end of the day, students are supervised in the Hall, at the Church or at the Gazebo on Albert Street until 3:10pm. Your assistance with this is appreciated.
Have a great week.
