What a fantastic way to finish our week last week than with our Athletics carnival. I know this was not our usual style of carnival but the positive responses from our students was amazing. They still had the opportunity to throw, jump and run for their House and everybody had the chance to earn points. Congratulations to the Mighty Mighty Stephen Whites for their come from behind win. Thank you to Mr Place and Mrs Downie and the organising committee for their patience, persistence and ingenuity to make this happen in difficult circumstances. Outstanding!

We recently received a letter from the Main Roads department advising us to remind our parents not to create a line while trying to enter the Church car park. As much as our parents have done an amazing job in all areas of our waiting zones, we must please ask you to park, ‘do a lap, come 5 minutes later or even utilise the Albert Street pick up zone. Please, in the interest of road safety, don’t create a lineup on Ross River Road. Thank you for your assistance with this.

A reminder that this Friday is a Pupil Free Day. Staff will be participating in a variety of professional development options and all are aimed at working towards the best learning opportunities for our students. All schools across Queensland will be participating in this pupil free day.
