- Our Mission Statement
Racism, violence, and prejudice isn't a political issue or a country issue. It's a humanity issue. If we want to belong to a humanity that is kind, compassionate and courageous, and if we want our children to feel held by that, we have to actively claim our part in creating it. This means celebrating diversity, talking about prejudice in all its forms, and showing up when the values that underpin a compassionate, inclusive, loving humanity are assaulted. It also means having the conversations with our children that will nurture a mindset that is consistent with this.
From a very young age, children will be aware that people are different and that some people are treated unfairly. They will be making sense of this in their own way, and they need our gentle hand to guide them towards seeing differences through curious, loving eyes.
God Bless

Term 2 is flying by and we are nearing the June school holidays. What a term 2 it has been. The families at Holy Spirit Catholic School are amazing. Not only did you handle the disruption to our term with online learning but you embraced it, worked with it and now have transitioned back into school routines including the minimal visits inside the school grounds (as per our government regulations). True Holy Spirit legends.
Reports will be available to our families on June 25 via Compass. If you have forgotten your password or need to update any details, please contact our friendly office staff.
Happy Days
Paul Martin
This week at Holy Spirit, we value peacefulness. Peacefulness brings out the good in life and is known as a state of being at one with oneself and surroundings. Peacefulness enables one to slow down and see what surrounds us. St Teresa of Calcutta continued to remind us of the need for peace in the home stating that it begins within the family. Let us pray this week for our families to be examples of peace that we can then share with others.
The first Sunday after Pentecost is celebrated as the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity. Jesus appeared to his disciples and sent them out to make disciples of all peoples. He told them to baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. As part of our Catholic faith, we believe in the mystery of the God who shares himself with us through the three persons of the Trinity, the Father who created us, the Son who was his human presence on earth and showed us how to live and the Holy Spirit who fills us with God’s love and the courage to carry out his mission in the world.
God bless.

Drawn Friday 12th June at 9am.
Any outstanding dodgers, sold or unsold need to be returned by tomorrow, Thursday 11th June.
Our pick up areas in the afternoon are busy yet working well. This only happens when a few keys areas are adhered to.
- Please stay in your vehicle and move up in the lines. Students need to get themselves in the car. If they need assistance, please park and come to the waiting area to collect them.
- Students need to enter the car via the door closest to the sidewalk and not walk around the car into the line of traffic
- Please discuss with your child the need to be prompt to the waiting areas when released from class. Staff are dismissing students at 2.50pm and students should immediately move to the waiting areas.
- Albert Street is still a fantastic option. Staff are on duty at the end of the service road and supervise students inside the double gates. Great option to think about.
Thank you for assisting to keep our students safe.

Upcoming Webinar for Parents
Understanding techno tantrums: 17 June 8-9pm AEST
Webinar Overview
In this digital era, chances are we’ve all experienced our children throwing a techno-tantrum. Technotantrums are completely normal and often a result of the neurobiological changes that occur when kids use technology. But this doesn’t mean that we have to simply accept that they’re part of our modern parenting reality. In this webinar Dr Kristy Goodwin helps parents and carers understand why children and teens emotionally combust when they digitally-disconnect, and how to establish new, healthy technology habits. Key learning and discussion points include:
• The science behind why kids and teens have techno tantrums and
find it challenging to switch off screens
• How to establish and enforce firm guidelines and boundaries
• How to be the pilot of the digital plane
• Researched based, realistic strategies to help develop healthy
digital behaviours so that screen time doesn’t end in ‘scream time’
